Emotional Empowerment: Addressing mental health needs before there’s a crisis.
Tuesday 2:15 – 3:15 PM
The cost of mental health challenges continue to impact companies’ bottom line, including loss in productivity, employee turnover, and medical expenses. Despite mental health costing companies trillions, there’s little being done to address employee emotional health until there’s a crisis. While emotional intelligence has supported companies to understand the impact emotions have on one’s success, it is no longer adequate to address today’s mental health needs. As Kohl’s CEO, Michelle Gass, stated earlier this year, “I believe that struggling with emotional well-being is the epidemic of our time.” Emotional Empowerment provides training to empower employees and inform managers as well as executives, with science-based tools to address everyday negative feelings, such as anger, anxiety, and disappointment, BEFORE under-addressed emotions turn into a costly mental health problem.
Psychotherapist, Michelle Bersell M.A., M.Ed. is the founder of The International Institute for Emotional Empowerment and creator of the Emotional Empowerment process.
