Is Your Drug-Free Workplace Discriminatory?

Tuesday 1:15 – 2:15 PM

Session Description

In light of recent high-profile court rulings on the topic (and decisions that are likely to come in the following months), now is an ideal time to address the interplay between disability antidiscrimination laws and an employer’s right to a drug-free workplace. There are myriad multijurisdictional issues, the laws are constantly changing, and employers are not sure how to stay safe when there are no clear answers. This session will address how medical marijuana use, prescription drug use, and alcohol and drug addiction are impacted by disability antidiscrimination laws.

John Stretton

My goal, when working with clients, is to provide high quality and attentive representation with exceptional value.  I collaborate with clients to develop creative business solutions, which means I work hard to understand a client’s business and objectives.  My practice focuses on employment litigation and counseling, non-competes and other restrictive covenants, contracts, including executive employment contracts and vendor agreements, and general commercial litigation.

While outside the office, I enjoy attending the sporting events that my children participate in and I train for and race triathlons.
