Hiring for Culture Fit: Truth, Lies and a Bit of Practical Advice

One of the most misrepresented topics in the talent acquisition space is the use of culture fit as a criterion for selection. During this session we will discuss why culture and hiring for culture fit matters for organizations; common, but misleading criticisms of hiring for culture fit; and proven steps participants can easily apply to address these common criticisms. By applying these steps to your hiring processes, organizations can increase candidate engagement and diversity, improve the quality of new hires and significantly reduce employee turnover.
Jamie Winter joined APTMetrics in 2018 as their Vice President in charge of their Talent Acquisition practice after a variety of consulting roles with Aon Consulting and DDI. He has 25 years of experience consulting with organizations across a variety of industries in private and public sectors both in the US and abroad including in the areas of selection and promotion systems, performance management, re-engineering/downsizing, job analysis, leadership development, and succession management. Mr. Winter graduated with honors from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and earned his M.A. and is A.B.D. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from the University of Akron.
