Pay equity continues to be a hot topic, not just in terms of compliance, but also as it impacts employee engagement and organizational culture. This important session, led by Angela Adams, Director of HR Services at the Management Association, will review the laws that govern pay equity, examine how to know whether you have areas of concern, and discuss strategies to correct issues you may identify. Ms. Adams will also explore the growing trend of banning pay information from employment applications, and describe how competently-designed compensation systems can help you defend your practices.



Angela Adams, CEBS, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, Director, HR Services, has been with the Management Association since 2000. Angela has expertise affirmative action programs and general HR services. She also provides assistance in training for member organizations.
Angela has worked in human resources for 20 years. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Master of Science in Human Resources Management from Boston University. She is a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) as designated through the Human Resource Certification Institute and a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) through the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans, as well as a Senior Certified Professional (SCP) through the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM).
